Princess Madeleine of Sweden moves in with her boyfriend in New York

Princess Madeleine of Sweden is ready to take her relationship with boyfriend Chris O’Neill to the next level. According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Madeleine and Chris will move into a four-bedroom luxury apartment in Manhattan together.

The Princess moved to New York almost two years ago to start over after splitting from her fiancé and boyfriend of eight years, Jonas Bergström.

Her ex was last seen with his new girlfriend, Stephanie af Klerker, an old friend of Madeleine’s, at the wedding of Robin af Byren and Tin-Tin Rosén: Emma Pernald, Prince Carl Philip's ex, and her new boyfriend Tomas Jonson also attended the nuptials.

Although financial adviser Chris has been properly introduced to the royal family, the news of Madeleine moving in with him apparently hasn't gone down too well with her parents.

With eldest daughter Crown Princess Victoria now on maternity leave, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were hoping Madeleine would take over some of her duties, but her permanent residency in the US means this will prove difficult.

According to Expressen, Madeleine has told her parents she does not want to take over any of her sister’s duties and has no intention of leaving New York where she has forged a new life for herself.

Princess Charlene of Monaco denies "runaway bride" rumours in TV Interview

She should be enjoying the first few giddy months as a newlywed. Unfortunately, Princess Charlene of Monaco is still being forced to address unkind rumours about her marriage.

In New York with new husband Prince Albert, the feisty former Olympic swimmer from South Africa, told the US media that she'd ignored the 'runaway bride' reports.

Charlene – who has been in North America promoting an exhibition about the most famous princess of Monaco, the late Grace Kelly – branded the gossip "hilarious".

Sitting side by side with Grace's son, the prince who made her his wife in July before a global audience, the new royal answered questions with the confidence she learned during her top-flight athletic career.

Speaking to US show Today Charlene, 33, said: "(I) obviously focused on what the day meant for the two of us," she said.

"Why would he go through the effort to have our most intimate dearest friends join us for us to be reluctant. It sounded a bit hilarious."

Asked why they appeared so serious during their lavish open-air ceremony, her supportive 53-year-old husband jumped in.

"I thought I paid attention to you and smiled at you many times, but maybe that's not enough for some people."

Crown Princess Mary and her husband Prince Frederik showed off their fancy footwork at a ball in New York recently.

Mary's face shone with delight as her husband twirled her round at the chic function in the Hilton Hotel. The mum-of-four was elegant in a floor length nude-hued gown.

The fun-loving couple were letting their hair down at a gala to celebrate 100 years of the American-Scandinavian Foundation, which promotes good relations between the US and the region. Joining the popular Danish royals at the event were blue bloods from their neighbouring countries. Princess Madeleine of Sweden – who also donned a nude gown – was joined by her parents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway were also in attendance.

Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde take 203 Belgian companies on delegation to US

For the first time for a Belgian travel delegation, ministers in charge of foreign trade of the three regions of the Plat Pays were part of the delegation. The mission was composed of 203 companies, mainly from the pharmaceutical, biotech, ICT and finance sectors.

The mission, which lasted until today, June 30, passed through New York, Washington DC and Boston. The Walloon Minister of Economy (Jean-Claude Marcourt), Brussels (Benoit Cerexhe) and Flemish (Kris Peeters) took part in the trip, that consisted mainly of companies, but also of financial institutions of all Belgian universities and industry federations. The Delegation from Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) was the most important with 77 big companies against 68 in Brussels and 50 from the Walloon Export Agency (AWEX). The mission also included a political component. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Steven Vanackere met United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon in NYC. Syria, Libya and the DRC were the hot topics on the agenda.

In Washington, the Belgian foreign minister held tallks with Vice-President of the United States, Joe Biden, as well as Senators John Kerry and John McCain.

The entire delegation comprised 383 persons. The last Belgian economic mission took place from 3 to 8 April in Russia.

What did the Obamas give to the Royal Family during their UK state visit?

As only the second state visit by a US President during Her Majesty's reign, the Obamas' trip to Britain is an important occasion.

And those involved marked the event with the exchanging of gifts, which included jewellery, pony bits and a jar of honey.

The two heads of state, and their spouses, offered each other specially bound books, with Barack Obama receiving facsimiles of Royal Archive letters sent between Queen Victoria and a succession of American presidents.

The documents were bound in red leather with gold lettering and displayed in a presentation box.

The Queen received a handmade leather bound album containing rare memorabilia and photographs that chronologically highlight the trip of her parents to America in 1939, the first by a reigning British monarch.

Michelle was given an antique gold and red coral brooch in the form of roses, presented in a jewel box covered in the same red leather as her husband's book.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were offered plants, seedlings and seeds from the South Lawn of the White House and jars of honey from the White House beehive.

And newlyweds Duke and Duchess of Cambridge received laptop computers from the Obamas as wedding gifts.

These have gone to the Northern Ireland branch of PeacePlayers international which uses basketball to bring children from opposing communities together.

Queen Elizabeth hosted state dinner for President Barack Obama

It was quite a guest list. Day one of the Obamas' trip to Britain drew to a close with a state banquet at Buckingham Palace hosted by the Queen – featuring several Hollywood stars.
Among the 171 guests present were Kevin Spacey, Tom Hanks and director Tim Burton and his partner Helena Bonham Carter.
Virgin boss Richard Branson was there, as was Prime Minister David Cameron and his predecessors Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
A long day of public appointments had done nothing to dent the enthusiasm or energy of the high profile guests, who smiled warmly throughout.
Mr Obama paid tribute to the Queen's "lifetime of extraordinary service to her nation and to the world."
His wife Michelle looked stunning in a Tom Ford gown, accessorized with white gloves and a jewelled clutch.
During their time in the capital the US visitors are staying in the Belgian suite – the same one used by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding night.

Pomp and circumstance on Obamas' state visit

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have been welcomed to Britain by senior royals.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall met the VIP guests at Winfield House, the residence of the US Ambassador, before escorting them to Buckingham Palace.

First lady Michelle looked colourful in a blue patterned 50s style swing dress and a pink shrug.

Meanwhile, Camilla was elegant in a cream outfit by Anna Valentine with a Philip Treacy hat.

At the Palace, they were warmly greeted by the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.

Once inside, they met the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, fresh from their honeymoon in the Seychelles, in the lavish 1844 room of the Palace.

The Obamas then stepped into the garden for a full ceremonial welcome, which included the playing of both the American and British National Anthem.

A 41-gun salute from the Tower of London was fired by the Honourable Artillery Company to mark the second state visit by a US President during Her Majesty's reign.

Even if it was a private meeting, it was a first for both Prince William and Catherine - in a nude Reiss dress - as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They had a 20-minute meeting with US President, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle - in a Barbara Tfank dress, at the Buckingham Palace. They looked good, relaxed and tanned from their 10-day honeymoon. We had missed them, didn't we? Argh, admit it! ;)

(I am in love with Michelle's dress. I don't care for the pink bolero though).

According to Clarence House, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will "visit California, United States of America, following their Tour of Canada in July this year. The Couple will visit the State of California from 8th July to 10th July 2011".

"The Duke of Cambridge has never before visited the United States of America in an official capacity. His Royal Highness has visited the United States of America privately. The Duchess of Cambridge has never before visited the United States of America officially or privately."

I think it will be an awesome and huge trip overseas. We will have two weeks of photo galore of William and Catherine together under tremendous scrutiny. Delish!
