Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde take 203 Belgian companies on delegation to US

For the first time for a Belgian travel delegation, ministers in charge of foreign trade of the three regions of the Plat Pays were part of the delegation. The mission was composed of 203 companies, mainly from the pharmaceutical, biotech, ICT and finance sectors.
The mission, which lasted until today, June 30, passed through New York, Washington DC and Boston. The Walloon Minister of Economy (Jean-Claude Marcourt), Brussels (Benoit Cerexhe) and Flemish (Kris Peeters) took part in the trip, that consisted mainly of companies, but also of financial institutions of all Belgian universities and industry federations. The Delegation from Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) was the most important with 77 big companies against 68 in Brussels and 50 from the Walloon Export Agency (AWEX). The mission also included a political component. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Steven Vanackere met United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon in NYC. Syria, Libya and the DRC were the hot topics on the agenda.
In Washington, the Belgian foreign minister held tallks with Vice-President of the United States, Joe Biden, as well as Senators John Kerry and John McCain.
The entire delegation comprised 383 persons. The last Belgian economic mission took place from 3 to 8 April in Russia.

[Belgium] Princess Mathilde's sister Hélène d'Udekem d'Acoz's wedding

Hélène d'Udekem D'Acoz at the arm of her brother, Charles-Henri. Little princess Elisabeth was the bridesmaid.

A few days ago (more or less like... two weeks ago), I had shown you a picture of Princess Mathilde at her sister's wedding. The Duchess of Brabant is the oldest of five children. She has three younger sisters and one younger brother: late Jonkvrouw Marie-Alix d'Udekem d'Acoz (born 16 September 1974 - April, 1997), Margravine Elisabeth von Pallavicini, née Countess d'Udekem d'Acoz (born 17 January 1977) who is married to Margrave Alfonso von Pallavicini with whom she has 2 children, Margravine Olympia and Margrave Adalberto, Baroness Hélene Janssen, née Countess d'Udekem d'Acoz (born 22 September 1979) who is married to Baron Nicolas Janssen, and Count Charles-Henri d'Udekem d'Acoz (born 13 May 1985).

The ceremony took place in the church of Saint Pierre in the municipality of Bastogne in Belgium and the four children of Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde were the pageboys and bridesmaids.

The bride arrived at the church of Saint Pierre, in the Belgian town of Bastogne, at the arm of her younger brother, Count Charles-Henri d'Udekem d'Acoz because their father, Count Patrick d'Udekem d'Acoz died two and half years ago at the age of 72 years. Countess Helene d'Udekem d'Acoz wore a beautiful lace dress with short sleeves, a V-neckline and an embroidered veil while the groom opted for an elegant tuxedo.

Princess Matilde dressed for the occasion a beautiful dress in tone nude boat neckline lace applications. He combined with a matching turban, a small clutch and shoes in two shades of pink. Meanwhile, Prince Philippe was wearing a traditional tuxedo.

The eternal royal fashion twins

Princess Mathilde, the Duchess of Brabant, attended her sister - Countess Hélène d'Udekem d'Acoz's - wedding this weekend looking pretty much like... Princess Maxima of the Netherlands when she attended Prince William's wedding at the end of April. Both colours, style and turbans are almost a match. More on that wedding later.

[Belgium] Philippe and Mathilde, the Duke and Duchess of Brabant, out and about in Antwerp

The heir to the Belgian throne and his wife were in Antwerp to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the King Baudouin's foundation. I wonder if late-King Baudouin's wife, Queen Fabiola, attended as well. As she has been having health issues - she is 82 - her public appearances have been more scarce.

Princess Mathilde was stunning, as always, and wearing silk Dries Van Noten large trousers. And you might have recognized the orange sandals she was wearing: she had them for the Cambridges' pre-wedding dinner.

[The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Wedding] The Brabants and the Kents

Decided to put the Duke and Duchess of Brabant and the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent together because these lovely ladies showed up in almost the same look, only the big and very different hats is saving them from becoming twins.

BTW, never had I seen Princess Mathilde with such a beautiful make-up. She is hot!
